"Casa San Michele - Refuge and Rehabilitation for Vulnerable Women"
Project description:
In 2020, Rino Senatore founded Casa San Michele, a refuge dedicated to girls and women who have been victims of physical and verbal abuse or who have struggled with drug and alcohol addictions. Casa San Michele is not only a shelter, but also a place where rehabilitation programs are carried out to help women rebuild their lives and re-enter society.
The main components of the project:
Construction of San Michele House: San Michele House was built in 2020 as a safe and welcoming space for women and girls who have been through trauma and need help to overcome issues of abuse and addictions.
Shelter and Rehabilitation: Residents have been welcomed to Casa San Michele since 2020 and have benefited from specialized counseling services, therapy and customized rehabilitation programs to help them overcome their traumas and addictions.
Active Participation in the Community: Women who live in Casa San Michele are encouraged to actively participate in the FRATERNITACSS community. They can get involved in social projects, charity events and activities aimed at developing their skills and self-confidence.
Source of Funding: The FRATERNITACSS association ensures the funding of Casa San Michele through donations obtained through fundraising campaigns, as well as from the sale of its own products. This sustainable financial approach allows the continuation of services offered to residents.
Self-Support Through the Sale of Products: Casa San Michele and the FRATERNITACSS Association sell products, such as handicrafts, clothes or other items, made by residents or volunteers, to generate income to support the expenses necessary to maintain the house.
Monitoring and Evaluation: The project includes an ongoing monitoring and evaluation system to measure women's progress and ensure that the services offered are effective and meet individual needs.
Through the "Casa San Michele" project, the FRATERNITACSS Association demonstrates its commitment to supporting vulnerable women, offering them not only a safe shelter, but also the necessary resources to rebuild their lives and become active and autonomous members of the community.
