What would you like to know about us?
Who is Fraternita CSS?
Fraternita CSS is a humanitarian association based in Baia Mare, Maramureș, Romania (legal name: Asociația Caritate Sobrietate Tăcere, tax ID 42945174). We run social actions and community projects — direct support for families and children in need.
Who founded the organization?
The organization was founded and is coordinated by Rino Senatore, together with a team of volunteers.
What can I donate?
We welcome anything — not just money. Clothes, unused items, non-perishable food, oil and much more go straight to the families who need them. If you'd like to donate money, you can contact us directly (Rino Senatore, the organization's founder) — we'll work out the simplest way together, and we provide a receipt for every donation. If you have things to donate but can't reach us, just tell us where you are — if needed, we'll come to you or cover the transport cost.
What do you do with the donations?
Donations support our social actions and projects: food parcels, clothing, basic goods and help for vulnerable families and children in and around Baia Mare — through projects such as “San Giuseppe Moscati”, “Craica – the forgotten minority” and “Casa San Michelle”, in partnership with the Maramureș Food Bank.
How can I get involved as a volunteer?
You can get involved through the “Get involved” page or by contacting us directly. Volunteers help collect, sort and distribute donations and take part in fieldwork.
Where does CSS carry out its work?
Our main activity takes place in Baia Mare, Maramureș, including the social shop in town and the distribution points, in partnership with the Maramureș Food Bank.
What is the social shop?
The social shop in Baia Mare is where CSS collects and provides basic goods to people in need. You can follow what it does on TikTok (@magazinsocialcss).
What languages is the website available in?
The website is available in Romanian, English and Italian, so we can be close to our supporters in the diaspora too, especially in Italy.
