This policy describes in general terms how an NGO may process the personal data of visitors, donors, beneficiaries and volunteers who use this site. The text is a template and will be adapted later together with a data protection specialist.

In the final version, the document should cover at least the following elements:

  • types of data collected (e.g. contact details, donation data, preferences);
  • legal bases for processing (consent, legal obligations, legitimate interest, etc.);
  • purposes for which the data is used and the storage period;
  • data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability);
  • information about data recipients and transfers to third parties (e.g. payment processors, email providers);
  • contact details for questions about data protection and for exercising GDPR rights.
